4. NEW: International Reality of Aid 2008 Report
The international report ‘The Reality of Aid 2008: an independent review of
poverty reduction and development assistance’ is now available to purchase.
The reality of aid in 2008 is that it continues to fail to promote
development based on the core values of human rights, democracy, gender
equality, and environmental sustainability.
The 300 page report covers aid issues of democratic ownership and human
rights with perspectives from across the globe. AID/WATCH’s contribution
focuses on Australian Aid to Papua New Guinea, highlighting the obstacles to
achieving the implementation of the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness.
Copies are $30 each plus $5 for postage.
